Concept: For this scratchboard piece I let my imagination wander. Many constellations are present in the sky, guiding the viewer. The compass rose also guides the viewer through the stormy waters and to the beautiful moonlit lake. Forms flow from one idea to the next. Many small lines create highlights and add great tonal variance. Symbolism for life can be found in the sky, while the waters are dangerous. The centre of the piece is a mixture of both elements.
