Concept: Painting of lake eerie. Dark rocks contrast the sandy water, as the sun peers out from the sky. Detailed clouds and cresting waves give this piece a very light and airy feel. Staring off into the lake can feel very sombre and isolating, as many of us have felt in our lives. This painting also has a personal connotation, as it reminds me of my late grandfather, and the time we spent at the beach.
